Halima is an Afghan American scholar-lecturer, historian, and filmmaker whose work intersects in the areas of gender, empire, human rights, and media. Her primary research focuses on Afghanistan and other Muslim countries with long histories of conflict. Her work is deeply rooted in feminist methodologies and 20 years of working as a journalist and human rights researcher.
